Customers : Are We Being Served?

We seem to get a bill of wrong these days, when speaking of customer service. Just ask anyone
who has purchased something from a shop based on the story told by the sales clerk only to discover you have been sold on what you wanted to hear, instead of what you needed to know.

Perfect example, I recently purchased a domain name from GODADDY. Everything seemed to be going well, until I discovered I had not researched this company enough to realize although you get the domain name reserved for a buck, you still have to pay for the website, email, store front options, and the list grows longer depending on your purpose of use. What started out as a $1.00 purchase based on the advertisement, turned quickly into an additional fee of $12.95 and a number of email ads suggesting for another fee of $19.95 they can build my website for me.

However, I am not writing this to complain, but to point out and vocalize the fact: had I done the proper research before jumping at a deal, I would have been better prepared to deal with the sudden road blocks of trying to create a simple website. Had I done the research, I would have known that it takes somewhere between $180.00-$500.00 to build a decent website using GODADDY in a timely fashion.

So it is with embarrass pride, that I write this message. Hoping it helps someone to make an informed decision about their purchase. By contacting the company and getting all the necessary information on how the product will be of benefit avoiding the costly lesson.
